New Photovoltaic Installation in Gdynia

Gdynia successfully implemented an innovative project based on advanced renewable energy solutions. Photovoltaic installations were installed at two key locations: Zakręt do Oksywia 1 and the Grabówek traction substation at Morska Street 120. This initiative improved energy efficiency and ensured the stable and safe operation of the trolleybus traction network.
The modernization project included several key actions to optimize solar energy use and upgrade existing infrastructure:
– Photovoltaic Installation: Modern photovoltaic panels with a total capacity of 499.5 kWp were installed on rooftops. These installations are tailored to the needs of the local traction network, enabling efficient energy management.
– Infrastructure Modernization: Shelters were reconstructed, and the drainage system was adjusted to ensure the safe installation of solar panels.
– Energy Management Systems: Energy management systems, including SCADA software, were implemented to monitor and optimize the installation’s operation.
